What is a household?A Household contains a combination of information on your home address (only up to Barangay level is required) and the people residing in it (which usually includes family members but is not limited to such).
-
How can I add someone in my Household? If he/she is someone who is still about to register, send him the referral link. Upon successful registration, he/she should go to Join a Household, and click on "join [Referrer]'s household". This will send a request to you. Go to My People page and click on Verify and add to household. If he/she is someone who you recently verified, but have not yet inputted Household information, you may go to My People, find the name, and click on Add to household. If he/she does not follow in the above cases, have him/her go to My Household, Join a Household and input your exact username. To approve the request, go to My Household and approve his/her request to join. Note that if this person is previously a part of another household, or has created a household of his/her own, he will leave it by joining (click Join a different household), since there should only be one household associated with each user.
-
What's the difference between My Household and My People? My Household page contains the users residing in your home address. My People page contains all the users you have referred and verified.
-
What is the verification for?Verification is needed to vouch for truthfulness of data. Since CURVE relies on anonymous reporting of data, a user must be verified by an existing user for his/her data to be part of the aggregated dashboard.
-
Can I use the app even without being verified? An unverified user can use the app's features even if not yet verified. The unverified user can still log his/her health diary, exposures, assessments and tests, as well as provide other information. The only functionality that will not be available is verification of another user. A user first has to be verified before it can verify another.
-
How do I invite friends to use the app?If this is your first time to refer someone, just click on My People. You will see this message: "You have not referred or activated anyone yet/ Share your referral code or link with your friends and loved ones and help spread the word!" Click on referral code or link. If they have not registered to CURVE yet, the faster way is to click the Copy button beside the referral link and send it to them. That will take them to the registration page with your referral code already embedded in it. If your friend has already registered, just click on the Copy button beside the referral code and send it to them. A message will be displayed for successful verification. If you have already referred to friends in the past, your My People page will display only names of verified and pending names. To access the referral code/link page, go to your profile and click Referral Code.
-
How do I verify someone?Assuming you are already a verified user and your friends have already registered through the referral link or inputted your referral code, go to My People. There should already be a notification beside the My People text on the number of people waiting to be verified by you. From the list of name cards, you will see the Verify and Reject buttons for the names waiting verification. Click on Verify.
-
I received a referral code. Where do I put it to be verified? To get through this you should already have created your own household or already part of an existing one. Go to My People. You will see here a notification message as follows: "Your account hasn't been verified by another CURVE user yet; if you have a referral code from them, click here." Click on click here. In the input field Copy then Paste your referral code. You will see a Pending Status and the Name of your Referrer in the table below.
-
What is the difference between a Referral Code and a Referral Link?A Referral Code is a code for already registered users to input when seeking verification. A Referral Link is a link to the registration page with the referrer's code already embedded and is thus the easiest way to refer the app. Note that it still needs the Referrer to verify after successful registration.

Names, specific address and government identification may also be provided for sharing with other related institutions. Full details will be found in our Privacy Policy.
-
Who will be using my data? The aggregated data will be used to alert all app users for high-risk areas and/or potential exposures in their logged events. -
How will my data be managed and protected? We have put organizational, technical and other procedural measures, controls and policies in place to ensure security and legality in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. The app is and always will be free, and any data you provide will not be used for commercial purposes. We will not sell the data. -
Who do you disclose or share the data with? The aggregated and anonymized data will be shared to the public and to every educational and health institution concerned for further research or containment strategies related to the pandemic. This is free of charge. Full details will be found in our Privacy Policy.
-
How can I delete my data?If you would like us to stop processing all or part of your provided information, you may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at dpo@servio.ph. When you decide to do so, we will delete all personal data we have about you. In future versions of the app we will roll this out so that this functionality is available inside it.
-
How long will my data be used?We are unable to set any particular time limit on the storage of your personal data/information due to obvious uncertainties surrounding the current pandemic. We will however keep it under regular review and ensure it is not kept longer than is necessary. Please note however that since this data is valuable for researchers who may be understanding the virus currently and in the succeeding months still after recovery, we are likely to retain this information for much longer. Rest assured that anonymity is granted and guaranteed. Full details will be found in our Privacy Policy.
-
Can I report symptoms on behalf of someone else?Currently the app does not have this functionality. The other person needs to create his/her own account and register. If said person (relative/friend) has no app access or has difficulty getting in the system, we recommend getting their consent so that you can manage their account and enter information on their behalf using their access credentials.
